Qualifications

Position Overview

The Patient Accounting Representative will be responsible for monitoring and managing outstanding medical claims submitted to insurance companies. Key responsibilities include investigating claim denials, resubmitting corrected claims, and appealing denied claims as needed. You will work proactively to ensure the timely reimbursement of claims by communicating with insurance companies and resolving billing issues.

This position is remote, allowing you to work from home, but may require training in the office from Monday to Friday for the first 90 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum Required: High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: Associate's Degree.
• License & Certification: N/A.
• Minimum Required Experience: 3–5 years in Revenue Cycle and/or Epic Revenue Cycle applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager with daily activities related to the collection function.
• Responsible for collecting past due accounts from insurance companies via phone and payer portals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
