Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in healthcare or a business-related field preferred.
• Demonstrate a high degree of commitment to customer service excellence.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, and act in a positive, professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Post patient and insurance payments, adjustments, and discounts accurately and timely.
• Monitor and work assigned accounts receivable work queues.
• Respond to patient billing questions by phone, in person, and through other department communication channels.
• Assist patients and help them understand their financial responsibility.
• Provide patients with appropriate resources and payment options when needed.
• Verify insurance benefits and coordinate authorization needs with staff and departments.
• Balance and close cash drawers.
• Assist with department mail, postage, and distribution.
• Communicate and collaborate with Patient Financial Services staff and other departments to resolve issues accurately and timely.
