Job summary

The Mount Sinai Queens campus is seeking a Supervisor for Patient Access Services to oversee frontline registration, insurance verification, and financial clearance. This part-time, weekend-day role reports to the Manager and ensures accuracy, efficiency, and patient satisfaction across assigned service areas.

Responsibilities include staff supervision, performance coaching, ensuring HIPAA compliance, and coordinating with departments to resolve access-related issues in real time.

Qualifications

• Experience in Patient Access, registration, or front-end revenue cycle operations within a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Working knowledge of insurance verification and financial clearance processes.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and function effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Basic leadership or team lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Patient Access activities to ensure timely and accurate registration, insurance capture, and documentation.
• Monitor staff productivity and quality performance; provide real-time feedback and coaching.
• Escalate operational issues, system concerns, or workflow barriers to the Manager as appropriate.
• Assist with staffing assignments and coverage to ensure adequate departmental support.
• Reinforce compliance with payer requirements, regulatory standards, and organizational policies.
• Maintain working knowledge of registration processes, insurance verification, and financial clearance workflows.
• Support compliance with HIPAA privacy and security standards.
• Ensure adherence to departmental policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
