Job summary

Summit Pacific Medical Center is seeking a Patient Access Specialist Supervisor to oversee patient scheduling and registration across clinic and hospital services, ensuring accurate data capture and strong customer service throughout the patient journey.

The role collaborates with the Patient Access Manager to address issues, train staff, and implement best practices to improve patient flow and financial responsibility.

Qualifications

  • Two years of supervisory experience.
  • Five years of Healthcare Patient Access experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and ongoing improvement of Patient Access programs, patient-care protocols, standards of care, policies and procedures.
  • Develop best practices by examining data and trends to optimize patient flow and service quality.
  • Schedule and register patients in applicable software systems with accurate data, including insurance verification.
  • Review and approve time cards to ensure accurate payroll per SPMC policies.
  • Manage Patient Access workqueues and identify staff training opportunities.
