Job summary

Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking a dedicated Patient Access Supervisor to join our on-site team. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, and focuses on leading the patient access group to maximize revenue and ensure accurate insurance verification and authorization processes.

Applicants should have at least 3 years of patient access experience and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and guides the patient access team to meet deliverables and quality standards.
• Collaborates with colleagues and managers to resolve cross-departmental issues and improve processes.
• Coaches staff on data analysis, decision making, and problem solving to optimize performance.
• Identifies and resolves payer rejections/denials using established procedures.
• Stays current with insurance regulations and policy changes affecting verification and payment methods.
• Monitors team progress toward goals and provides timely feedback to develop competencies.
