Job summary

Inova Health System is seeking a dedicated Patient Access Supervisor to join the team in a full-time, hybrid role. The position runs Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a hybrid work arrangement in Northern Virginia.

The supervisor will oversee the patient access function, coach staff, resolve payer denials, and stay current with insurance policies and industry regulations to ensure accurate and timely patient processing.

Qualifications

• Experience in patient access leadership or supervision preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills required.
• Knowledge of payer policies and medical policies helpful.

Responsibilities

• Oversees assigned team to meet key deliverables and quality standards.
• Collaborates with managers to resolve cross-department issues.
• Coaches staff on analysis, decision making and problem solving.
• Manages and resolves payer denials with established actions.
• Stays current with payer regulations and medical policies.
• Effectively communicates changes impacting staff.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
