Job summary

McLaren Health seeks a Patient Access Supervisor to plan, direct, and evaluate its admission and registration operations. Reporting to the Manager/Director of Patient Access, you will manage staff, ensure accurate third-party billing, and uphold service standards.

You will train and develop staff, design workflows, monitor scheduling, and drive performance improvements across the department in a fast-paced hospital setting in Michigan.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in business management, accounting or related field.
• Two years’ experience in Patient Access or a related department.
• One-year experience in a leadership role supervising recruitment, performance, or training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily duties of staff engaged in registration, admission, transfer and discharge of patients.
• Review department work for customer satisfaction and billing accuracy; document productivity and quality; provide feedback and corrective action as needed.
• Provide training of new staff and ongoing training for existing staff in admitting or registration processes.
• Directly responsible for training and collection of copays and deductibles at patient access.
• Design and monitor policies for admitting and registration aligning with management objectives.
• Create and monitor employee schedules and timesheets for payroll.
