Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years in patient access, registration, or call center operations in healthcare.
• At least 1 year in supervisory or lead role in healthcare front desk.
• Strong knowledge of insurance eligibility and front-end revenue cycle.
• Experience using EHR and practice-management systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 4–6 Patient Access staff in call center and front desk.
• Coordinate staffing to cover phones, front desk, and check‑in/check‑out.
• Monitor registration accuracy and appointment details; correct errors.
• Oversee insurance eligibility verification for scheduled and walk‑in visits.
• Reduce denials related to front‑end errors; partner with billing/revenue cycle.
• Inform patients about sliding fee discounts and assist with applications.
• Manage copays and sliding fees at check‑in/out; ensure access to care.
• Train new hires on EHR/PM workflows, HIPAA, and customer service.
• Track KPIs and report wait times, satisfaction, and processing metrics.
• Handle escalations and participate in hiring and disciplinary processes.
