LCMC Health is hiring a Patient Access Representative to support patients from first contact. You will handle scheduling, registrations, insurance verification, and explain financial responsibilities to patients and families.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of customer service or healthcare experience preferred.
• Experience with patient registration, scheduling or insurance verification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, families, and visitors in person and by phone.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate patient services accurately and efficiently.
• Register patients and update demographic, insurance, and guarantor information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect required documentation.
• Support admissions, transfers, discharges, and bed placement as needed.
• Explain financial responsibilities, collect payments, and connect patients with financial assistance resources.
• Answer calls and direct patients to the appropriate departments and services.
• Collaborate with clinical and support teams to ensure a seamless patient experience.
