Job summary

Thayer County Health Services seeks a Patient Access Representative (PAR) in Hebron, NE. You will schedule and register patients for clinic, hospital, lab, radiology, rehab and specialty services, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.

The role requires attention to insurance requirements, confidentiality, and effective communication with patients and staff. Full-time, days, non-exempt, 40 hours/week; reports to the Patient Accounts & Patient Financial Services Director.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or a degree.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Prior experience with registration functions for a Rural Health Clinic preferred.
• Computer and keyboarding skills required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct prescreening questions and duties as directed during events or periods requiring screening.
• Greets patients promptly and assists with needs as required.
• Directs calls to the appropriate department or staff member.
• Screens incoming calls and determines urgency to minimize interruptions.
