Job summary

vTech Solution is seeking a Patient Access Representative III to secure and provide accurate information to patients, families, and funding sources to facilitate registration, scheduling, and prior authorizations for inpatient and outpatient services.

The role requires knowledge of managed care plans, scheduling, billing and claims, familiarity with medical terminology, and proficiency with EPIC or similar systems to support scheduling and registration. This is an onsite, full-time position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of work experience in a healthcare setting.
• At least 1 year of experience with data entry functions.
• At least 1 year of experience with insurance eligibility verification and knowledge of insurance benefits and prior authorizations.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology or 6 months of demonstrated healthcare work experience.

Responsibilities

• Register patients for inpatient, outpatient, and diagnostic services accurately and efficiently.
• Schedule surgical and treatment appointments, coordinating with relevant departments.
• Obtain and verify insurance authorizations and eligibility to ensure coverage.
• Provide appropriate information to patient families and funding sources regarding services and authorizations.
• Maintain accurate data entry related to patient access functions.
• Collaborate with managed care health plans and understand billing and claims payment processes.
• Utilize EPIC or other healthcare information systems to support scheduling and registration tasks.
