Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required and must be 19 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a thorough understanding of the Registration modules in the Hospital Information System and Document Imaging System to pre-register and register patients, and update the database reflecting changes in patient status, transfers, newborn admissions, and discharges.
• Interprets insurance information and insurance cards.
• Processes patient payments and explains financial responsibility, including creation and explanation of a good faith estimate and payment plans.
