Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; 2 years college preferred.
• Experience in patient registration, verification and authorization.
• Able to type 40 WPM and enter data accurately.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately and collect co-pays, deductibles and co-insurance.
• Pre-register scheduled patients a minimum of three business days in advance.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain pre-authorizations as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient information and protect confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Log cash, generate receipts, and meet monthly cash collection goals.
