Job summary

Advocate Health is hiring for a Full Time Admitting position in our Illinois Masonic IL OP Arrival department. The role supports patient intake, insurance verification, and billing processes, with a 40-hour work week and a 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Qualifications

High School Diploma required.
No prior experience required.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

Create the initial electronic health record as the patient’s foundation for care and billing.
Check in and register patients; collect demographics, insurance, and co-pays.
Explain insurance basics and refer patients to Financial Advocates when needed.
Ensure HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality at all times.
Schedule appointments or coordinate reschedules and recalls as needed.
Provide exceptional customer service and assist patients with needs and directions.
