Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year in an office clerical setting or customer service environment.
• Working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office applications and website navigation.
• Problem solving, conflict management, time management, good oral and written communication skills.
• Must complete role-specific revenue cycle training within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Ensure each registered patient has a complete and accurate OSF medical record, including demographics, insurance, and guarantor information.
• Explain services and financial responsibilities to patients during interactions, over the phone or in person.
• Demonstrate deductive reasoning to resolve issues in a complex, multi-payer environment.
