Job summary

OhioHealth seeks a patient access professional to perform accurate registration across phone, virtual, face-to-face, and bedside locations. You'll enter patient demographics, verify insurance, and explain billing procedures while upholding confidentiality and delivering outstanding service.

Responsibilities include scheduling, collecting out-of-pocket costs, and supporting the Main Registration department in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• One to two years precious experience in a medical office setting.

Responsibilities

• Accurately identifies patient in EMR system.
• Obtains and enters accurate patient demographic and financial information through a standard work process to complete registration.
• Provides exceptional customer service during every encounter with patients, families, visitors, and OhioHealth physicians and associates.
• Verifies insurance eligibility using online eligibility system, payer websites or by phone call.
• Generates appropriate regulatory documents and obtains consent signatures.
