Job summary

SSM Health St. Anthony Healthplex in Oklahoma City is seeking a PRN Patient Access/Scheduling role to schedule procedures and collect demographic, insurance, and clinical information. The position requires strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

The role involves coordinating with nurses and staff to expedite admissions, handling pre-service requirements, and providing patient counseling. Training will occur during a 2-week M-F 9:30am-4:30pm period.

Qualifications

• Experience in Patient Access, EHR, Healthcare, and Customer Service.
• High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Gathers information from patient and enters data in the system; resolves issues about type/date/location of procedures.
• Schedules patient procedures to optimize time and resources; coordinates scheduling.
• Assists with insurance pre-certification/authorization coordination.
• Provides counseling to patient or representative regarding pre-service requirements.
• Performs clerical and reception duties for patient registration.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
