Community Hospital OKC is seeking a PRN Patient Access Representative to join our admitting, registration and scheduling team. You will register patients, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and support seamless patient flow at the front desk.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry, HIPAA compliance, teamwork with physicians' offices, and delivering premier customer service during every encounter.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required; 2 years college preferred.
• Experience in patient registration, verification and authorization in a medical center or comparable institution preferred.
• Ability to accurately type 40 WPM, complete forms, handle payment transactions and enter data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication as well as interpersonal skills required.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with short time-lines, prioritize and organize work, and complete assignments in a timely and accurate manner.
• HIPAA compliance and maintaining patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately and verify insurance information.
• Collect co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance at the time of service.
• Pre-register a high percentage of scheduled patients in advance of arrival.
• Coordinate with physician offices and other departments to obtain necessary information.
• Ensure proper signatures on required forms and documents.
• Maintain accurate data entry and balance cash at the front desk.
• Provide premier customer service and support to patients and families.
