Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to perform admitting duties for hospital patients at Holy Family Hospital in Greenville, IL. This onsite role requires accurate patient data collection, insurance verification, and education delivery to patients and guarantors.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of customer service experience.
• Must be inquisitive and open to innovation including AI to improve processes.
• CRCR certification required within 9 months of hire (company paid).

Responsibilities

• Assign accurate MRNs and complete medical necessity checks while collecting insurance information.
• Operate the telephone switchboard and provide excellent customer service per Press Ganey metrics.
• Pre-register patient accounts and obtain demographic, insurance, and other information.
• Explain consent forms and distribute patient education documents.
• Review insurance eligibility responses and enter benefit data to support POS and billing.
• Screen for medical necessity using ABN software and document forms appropriately.
