Job summary

The Cancer & Hematology Centers is seeking a detail‑oriented Patient Access MOA to join our team. You will be the first point of contact for patients, coordinating intake from the initial call through scheduling and records coordination.

In this role, you will work closely with referring providers, clinical teams, and patients to ensure a smooth intake process and a compassionate patient journey during a critical time in care.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills are required and prioritization with care and accuracy is essential.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is preferred.
• Comfort working in a medical office environment and supporting patients through care journeys.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients and referrals.
• Coordinate provider schedules to ensure timely appointments.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information and gather records for intake.
• Answer calls, take messages, and manage hospital consult requests.
• Maintain and organize medical records and correspondence.
• Collaborate with care team to ensure a seamless patient experience.
• Support quality improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and patient friendliness.
