SSM Health Medical Group Fenton – Bowles Ave is seeking a full-time Scheduling Clerk in Orthopedics to support patient flow and scheduling. You will gather demographic, insurance, and clinical information and coordinate procedures with care teams.

This on-site role supports a day shift Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm, with no on-call requirements, and emphasizes EPIC proficiency, compassionate patient interaction, and attention to detail to ensure a smooth care experience.

Qualifications

• EPIC knowledge is highly preferred.
• Caring attitude toward patients required.
• Patient-focused approach mandatory.

Responsabilités

• Gathers information from patient and enters into appropriate database.
• Schedules patient procedures in a manner that efficiently uses patient time and clinical resources.
• Assists with coordination of insurance pre-certification/authorization.
• Provides counseling to patient regarding pre-service requirements and instructions.
• Performs clerical and reception duties associated with patient registration.
• Identifies process improvement opportunities and participates in improvement plans.
• Works on special projects as needed.
