Job summary

Inova Physical Therapy – Ballston is seeking a dedicated Patient Access Associate 2 to join the team. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday with every other Saturday; shifts span 6:45 am–7:00 pm.

You will admit/schedule patients, verify insurance, and provide financial counseling while upholding Inova Health System's Service Excellence standards. You will help ensure patient safety through effective problem solving and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: 1 year of healthcare patient access experience, or 1-year experience in healthcare revenue cycle, or bachelor’s degree.
• Preferred: bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Admits/schedules patients and conducts insurance verifications.
• Provides financial counseling and explains benefits and patient liability.
• Communicates scheduling changes to patients, staff, physicians and patient representatives.
• Identifies payroll authorization and referral requirements to patients.
• Communicates insurance coverage details and methods of payment clearly.
