Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Schedules patient appointments and enters information in the system accurately.
• Obtains demographic, insurance and financial information from patients and guarantors.
• Explains required forms to patients and obtains signatures.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits; ensures timely notifications and authorizations.
• Posts payments in the computer system and generates receipts.
• Monitors and resolves patient account issues on assigned reports.
• Communicates professionally with Physicians, departments, staff, insurers and patients; documents thoroughly.
• Adheres to Memorial Hermann policies and maintains budgetary and time management standards.
• Supports department goals and acts as a resource to less experienced staff.
