Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Schedules patient appointments and enters information accurately in the system.
• Obtains demographic, insurance and financial information from patient or guarantor and enters it with high accuracy.
• Explains required forms to patients or guarantors and collects signatures.
• Ensures medical necessity compliance by obtaining data and communicating with patients.
• Collects patient liability, discusses payment options and screens for eligibility.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits and completes notifications and authorizations.
• Posts payments in the system and generates patient receipts.
• Monitors and resolves patient account issues on assigned reports.
• Communicates professionally with physicians, departments, staff, insurers and patients; documents thoroughly.
• Adheres to Memorial Hermann policies within budget and time constraints; supports safety and quality.
• Promotes professional growth and may serve as a mentor or resource to colleagues.
• Demonstrates compassionate, personalized care experiences for every community member.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
