Scheurer Hospital Inc. in Michigan is seeking a casual Patient Access Representative II to support registration of inpatients, swing beds, and observation patients, and to educate patients on prep instructions.

The role includes collecting payments and ensuring accurate documentation while maintaining HIPAA standards. The incumbent will handle admissions signatures, initiate advance directives when applicable, and may serve as receptionist or registrar as needed while working flexible shifts in

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Mansioni

• Obtaining signatures on Conditions of Admissions.
• Initiating Advance Directives when applicable.
• Ensure documentation meets current mandated standards, policies and procedures.
• Register inpatient, swing bed, and observation patients.
• Schedule outpatient department visits and educate patients on prep instructions.
• Submit data for Consumer Products.
• May work as a receptionist or registrar if needed.
• May work different shifts as needed.
