Job summary

Conifer Health, serving Brookwood Medical Center, seeks a Patient Access representative to manage patient registration, scheduling, and insurance verification at point of service. You will educate patients on financial responsibilities and ensure compliant collection practices while maintaining high customer service standards.

You will support multiple Patient Access functions, including ED areas, and adhere to Conifer Standards of Care, HIPAA, and hospital policies in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0–1 year in a Customer Service role preferred.
• 0–1 year administrative experience in medical facility, health insurance, or related area preferred.
• Some college coursework is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and perform full patient registration at date of service.
• Educate patients about financial liabilities and collect payments as appropriate.
• Verify insurance, benefits, coverage and eligibility; obtain authorizations and coordinate post-discharge care as needed.
