Qualifications

• 2 years of healthcare or customer service experience or education equivalency.
• Excellent listening, interpersonal and communication skills, with professional telephone etiquette.
• Ability to stay professional in stressful environments, including emergencies.
• Demonstrates empathy and communicates with patients and families during trauma.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a structured, organized way.
• Strong data entry, numeric, typing, and computer navigation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient interviews to obtain demographics and financial data for registration.
• Verify insurance benefits and determine patient financial responsibilities.
• Cross-train across assigned areas and mentor peers.
• Assist patients with directions and mobility; provide escort when needed.
• Adhere to compliance, cash handling policies, and government payor rules.
• Support revenue cycle duties across multiple locations as assigned.
