Baptist Health System, Inc. Downtown - Main Building is seeking an organized patient access representative to register patients and navigate multiple systems efficiently. This role emphasizes accurate data entry, patient privacy, and compliance with HIPAA guidelines.

The ideal candidate can work across multiple patient access areas, maintain high service levels, and support department goals. Experience with regulatory requirements (EMTALA, AHCA, JCAHO) is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience with patient access processes and registrations.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance documentation.
• Ability to work across multiple systems and interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients accurately and efficiently
• Utilization of multiple systems and interfaces
• Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas
• Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
• Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
• Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
• Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
• Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
• Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
