Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of related experience, preferably in medical, financial services or demanding customer service.
• Experience operating a PC and using software applications.
• Preferred: medical terminology and obtaining insurance verifications; call/service center experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and preregisters patients; validates demographics and benefits; ensures accurate data for billing submission.
• Verifies insurance information with payors via phone, online, or electronic systems; notes authorization/referral requirements.
• Identifies patient financial responsibilities; estimates, collects liabilities, and posts payments in the ADT system.
• Delivers positive patient experience and maintains relationships with patients, AHN staff, and external contacts.
• Maintains productivity and adheres to policies; completes required trainings and duties as assigned.
