Job summary

Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is seeking a Patient Access Representative I for the Day shift (7:00am - 3:30pm) in the Chicago area. You will complete registration, verify insurance, collect payments, and support a positive patient experience in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities include patient registration, insurance verification, financial clearance, and collaboration with clinical departments to resolve issues. Weekend/holiday coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience (Healthcare preferred).
• Strong communication, customer service, and data-entry accuracy skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and use multiple computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately for outpatient and inpatient services, including demographics, insurance, and financial information.
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, pre-certifications, referrals, and Medicare necessity.
• Collect patient financial liability payments and document financial information accurately.
