Advocate Health in Wisconsin is seeking a full-time, 40-hour-per-week front desk/registration specialist for the ABHC Westhaven - Behavioral Health department. You will create initial EHRs, verify demographics and insurance, collect co-pays, and support patients through the care journey with exceptional service.

The role emphasizes HIPAA compliance, accurate data entry, and coordination with clinical staff.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment with excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy requirements; handle sensitive information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Creates the initial electronic health record that forms the patient medical record foundation.
• Verifies patient demographics, insurance information, and collects co-pays.
• Answers inquiries, guides patients, and supports the clinical team to ensure accurate, timely care.
• Ensures compliance with accreditation standards and government regulations.
• Scopes appointments, patient education on portal/app, and coordinates with Financial Advocates as needed.
