Job summary

CommuniCare+OLE is hiring an Access Representative I in St. Helena, CA. Under the Access Supervisor, you will greet patients, handle phone calls, schedule appointments and collect payments, ensuring a positive and compliant patient experience.

This entry-level, nonexempt role requires a High School Diploma, CPR certification and basic data entry with Microsoft Office and EHR systems. Bilingual English/Spanish and other languages strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Entry level; one year healthcare experience preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish or other languages strongly preferred.
• Must certify and remain CPR certified.
• Strong data entry and basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) and EHR familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in person or by phone and provide friendly customer service.
• Input patient data accurately into the EMR before saving.
• Screen patients for insurance eligibility and refer self-pay to Eligibility Specialist.
• Answer phone calls promptly and document encounters.
• Schedule appointments and pre-register patients; provide appointment reminders.
• Handle co-pays and payments; balance cash and receipts at end of shift.
