Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in clerical or medical office settings preferred.
• Completion of a clerical or medical office program is a plus.
• At least 2 years clerical, customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients upon arrival in practice.
• Completes and verifies registration information; verifies identity and address; ensures benefit verification.
• Collects co-pays and any outstanding self-pay balances; provides receipts and records transaction.
• Updates system as checked in and communicates with clinical staff.
• Schedules follow-ups and assists with referrals as directed.
• Monitors waiting room and updates patients every 10 minutes when delays occur.
• Answers phones and routes patients when needed.
