Job summary

Nationwide-Children is seeking a Part-time Patient Access Representative to greet and register patients, answer calls, and schedule appointments. The role supports School Based teams and coordinates with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate data entry.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred) and CPR certification may be required. Prior healthcare experience and strong computer skills are highly valued for this role.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's Degree preferred.
  • CPR certification may be required.
  • One year of health care experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and register patients in registration areas.
  • Answer telephone calls and assist with scheduling appointments.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the main scheduling line.
  • Pull and file medical charts as needed and maintain accurate records.
  • Obtain accurate demographic, insurance, and physician information during registration.
  • Ensure insurance pre-certification and physician referral requirements are met and communicated to patients.
