Job summary

Maine Medical Center in Scarborough, ME seeks a Patient Access Associate I to be the first contact for patients and visitors. This non-clinical role supports clinical teams and occasionally completes bedside Access tasks within the care environment.

As part of Central Registration & Admitting, you will identify and register patients, provide excellent customer service, and operate in a high-volume, schedule-dependent setting. Education and data entry skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Related experience in healthcare or customer service is preferred.
• Computer and data entry experience with Word, e-mail and internet apps.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and provide customer service support for visitors and families.
• Identify patients accurately and check in/out in the registration system.
• Work with clinical teams and bedside applications when needed.
