Qualifications

• Post secondary education in medical office administration or healthcare administration preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in healthcare, including patient registration, scheduling or front desk/admissions.
• 0-2 years of customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and families to provide courteous, timely assistance.
• Regulate schedules based on procedure requirements and staffing needs.
• Pre-register patients by obtaining accurate demographic information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and secure necessary authorizations.
• Document patient financial responsibility estimates as applicable.
• Communicate with physician offices regarding operative reports.
