Job summary

Twin County Regional Healthcare, part of Lifepoint Health, is hiring a Patient Access Representative for a float position with full-time variable shifts, including weekend nights. The role involves verifying insurance benefits and eligibility, obtaining authorizations when needed, and collecting deposits, co-pays, and deductibles.

You will educate patients about rights and directives, communicate professionally in person and by phone, and provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• Computer proficiency required.
• Medical terminology experience preferred.
• Billing and/or collection experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and telephone skills required.

Responsibilities

• Verifies insurance benefits, eligibility, and obtains insurance authorizations when necessary.
• Collects deposits, co-pays, and deductibles.
• Educates patients and families regarding patient rights, advanced directives, and distributes patient guides.
• Communicates professionally in-person and by phone; provides clear instructions and excellent customer service.
