Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking an attentive Patient Access support team member to ensure complete patient accounts with valid insurance and current data. You will calculate patient financial responsibility and present payment options to patients, while securing consent on required forms and notices.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of Healthcare Revenue Cycle or related experience; Epic experience is preferred, and GED or higher education is required.

Qualifications

• GED or higher education required.
• 1 year exp in Healthcare Revenue Cycle, clinical role, or related clerical accounting/finance/retail/customer service.
• 3 years of Healthcare Revenue Cycle experience preferred.
• Prior Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as patient facing support for the Patient Access Department within Piedmont Healthcare.
• Ensures patient accounts are complete with valid insurance coverage and current demographic/clinical data.
• Calculates patient financial responsibility, presents patient financial options/requirements and processes patient payments.
• Secures patient consent and acknowledgement on required forms/notices.
