Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare Corporate is seeking a patient access support professional to assist the Patient Access Department. You will verify insurance, gather accurate demographics and clinical data, and determine patient financial responsibility while guiding patients through available options and payment processes.

The role requires a GED, at least 1 year in healthcare revenue cycle (or related clerical/finance/retail/customer service) and preference for Epic experience.

Qualifications

• GED is required.
• 1 year of healthcare revenue cycle experience or related.
• Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as patient facing support for the Patient Access Department within Piedmont Healthcare.
• Ensures patient accounts are complete with valid insurance coverage and current demographic/clinical data.
• Calculates patient financial responsibility, presents patient financial options/requirements and processes patient payments.
• Secures patient consent and acknowledgement on required forms/notices.
