Job summary

Cottage Health seeks a Patient Access Registrar for their CH Patient Access department, working directly with patients, clinical staff, and other Cottage Health employees to provide information and resolve issues related to patient accounts. The Registrar is the first impression for patients arriving for services and is responsible for creating a positive patient experience.

Education and experience requirements emphasize an associate degree or higher, 1 year in an office or customer service

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Minimum: 1 year in an office, hospitality, or customer service environment.
• Preferred: 2 years in healthcare with knowledge of medical terminology.
• Technical: Basic MS Word, Outlook and Excel; 35 wpm typing.
• Preferred: MS Office suite including PowerPoint and Access.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients, clinical staff and Cottage Health employees to provide information and resolve issues related to patient accounts.
