Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with GED
• Positive interpersonal relationship skills required
• Complete Medical Terminology Course within 6 months of hire
• Computer literacy required, including the use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and other office products
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent customer services skills, ability to independently problem-solve, and perform basic mathematical calculations
• Demonstrate ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills

Responsibilities

• Gather demographic, financial and biographical information from patients
• Verify insurance eligibility and determine medical necessity
• Collect at time of service payments and assist with registration
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations
