Med-Metrix is hiring a Patient Access Representative to register patients, manage records, and assist with Medicaid applications. The role requires handling PHI and complying with HIPAA in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

The position operates on a 3:00PM - 11:30 PM schedule every other Saturday/Sunday with one weekday off. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential for coordinating with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in healthcare environment preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information per HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Monitor waiting area and address patient concerns.
• Notify staff of complaints and provide interim solutions.
• Obtain accurate registration information from patients.
• Enter information into computer systems and attach documents.
• Assist patients with information on fees and Medicaid/financial assistance.
• Provide support to hospital staff as needed.
• Follow HIPAA and security policies at all times.
• Limit access to PHI to necessary minimum.
