Med-Metrix is seeking a Patient Access Representative to handle patient registration, manage records, and assist with Medicaid applications. The role requires interacting with patients and staff, ensuring data accuracy, and upholding HIPAA standards in a busy healthcare setting.

Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with responsibilities including information gathering, data entry, and customer service while maintaining confidentiality and security policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year in a healthcare environment preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle HIPAA requirements and confidentiality.
• Demonstrated problem solving and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor waiting area and address patient concerns.
• Notify personnel of complaints and provide interim solutions.
• Register patients with accurate information (name, address, phone, insurance).
• Enter data into computer; photocopy insurance cards and attach to charts.
• Assist patients with information and Medicaid applications.
• Support hospital staff as needed; handle other duties as assigned.
• Protect and disclose PHI only per HIPAA; follow security policies.
• Limit PHI viewing to minimum necessary; adhere to safety standards.
