Job summary

OhioHealth in Augusta, GA is seeking a Patient Access/Registration professional to support Revenue Cycle by collecting accurate demographics and financial data to create clean claims. You will provide outstanding service to patients and families while coordinating with OhioHealth physicians and staff.

The role supports evening shifts on a 40-hour biweekly schedule in Main Registration. Emphasis on accuracy, confidentiality, and efficient patient throughput in a high-reliability healthcare

Qualifications

• High School or GED (Required).
• One to two years of experience in a medical office setting.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient in EMR system accurately.
• Enter accurate patient demographic and financial information through standard processes to complete registration.
• Provide exceptional customer service during encounters with patients, families, visitors, and OhioHealth physicians and associates.
• Perform registration functions in any Patient Access area.
• Verify insurance eligibility via online systems or payer sites.
• Secure and track insurance authorizations and processed patients.
• Schedule outpatients and generate patient estimates using price estimator tools.
• Collect patient Out of Pocket expenses and past balances to meet goals.
