Job summary

OhioHealth Corporation is seeking a customer-focused professional to support Revenue Cycle through registration and financial data collection. You will gather accurate patient demographics and insurance details to generate clean claims while delivering outstanding service to patients, families, and staff.

Shift is 3:30pm–12am in a biweekly rotation. Scheduled weekly hours: 40. Training and compliance with safety, quality, and efficiency are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Excellent communication, organization and customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• One to two years of experience in a medical office setting.

Responsibilities

• Identifies patient in the EMR system.
• Collects and enters patient demographic and financial information for registration.
• Provides exceptional customer service during encounters with patients, families, visitors and physicians.
• Performs registration in Patient Access areas.
• Verifies insurance eligibility using online systems or by phone.
• Secures and tracks insurance authorizations and processed patients.
• Transcribes ancillary orders and schedules outpatients.
• Generates patient estimates using price estimator tools.
• Collects Out-of-Pocket expenses and past balances to meet goals.
