Job summary

TOA is actively seeking a Patient Access Representative in Murfreesboro, TN to be the patient’s advocate by delivering top-notch service and helping connect to the right care.

Responsibilities include answering inbound calls, collecting demographics and insurance data, scheduling via NextGen, coordinating with physicians and clinics, handling referrals, and maintaining detailed documentation across systems. Travel to Brentwood for initial training is required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and professional phone demeanor.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems (NextGen preferred) and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound calls from new and existing patients.
  • Obtain patient demographics and insurance information.
  • Listen to patient medical history and coordinate appointment needs.
  • Schedule appointments through NextGen and manage referrals.
  • Document information across multiple systems and processes.
  • Deescalate conflicts and provide empathetic service.
  • Travel to Brentwood for initial training onsite.
