Job summary

Cummins Behavioral Health Systems, Inc. in Avon, IN seeks an experienced Access Representative to assist individuals in accessing admissions, scheduling services, and handling phones.

You will greet visitors, process intakes, check-in clients, schedule and reschedule appointments, and manage chart documentation. Prior experience in medical or behavioral health offices and proficiency with Word and Excel are preferred; HS diploma required. Bilingual preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical or behavior health office is desired.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors in a courteous and professional manner and ensure the Visitor Sign-in Policy and Procedures is followed.
• Answer phones in a courteous, professional manner and transfer calls as needed; routinely check voicemail and complete follow-up.
• Explain the new consumer intake process and have the consumer complete information on tablet, computer and/or paper including all required paperwork depending on payor source.
• Check-in consumers for appointments, tag as arrived, collect fees and print receipts.
• Schedule and print future appointments/excuse letters; reschedule when clinicians are out or office is closed.
• Send, scan and log documents into the chart as needed.
• May be assigned other responsibilities as designated by supervisor.
