Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Part Time, 0.50 FTE, Day Patient Access Representative - ASC to join our team in Washington. The role supports pre-visit services and coordinates with scheduling, insurance verification and pre-certification processes.

Responsibilities include patient pre-registration, collecting payments, verifying coverage, obtaining authorizations, answering inquiries, and managing daily schedules. Prior patient transport may be required; 1+ year of related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma Preferred or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year in medical office or related customer service experience is required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre-registers/registers patients with accurate demographic and financial data.
• Collects patient balances and payments (co-pay, co-insurance, etc.).
• Verifies insurance coverage and obtains prior authorizations as needed.
• Responds to customer inquiries and assists with departmental coverage as needed.
• Manages daily appointment schedules and reminders; calls referrals.
• May transport patients using escort or wheeled transport equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
