Henry Ford Hospital in Rochester, MI is hiring a Patient Access Clerk to support patients and visitors at the front desk. You’ll manage patient reception, face-to-face check-ins, pre-registration, insurance eligibility verification, and cash collections.

Your duties include new patient registration, updating records, and answering inquiries with professionalism. As the first point of contact, you’ll advocate for patients and provide exceptional service that builds trust.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Approximately 1 year of related hospital or medical office experience preferred.
• EPIC training/experience preferred.
• Insurance payor systems experience preferred.
• ICD-10 terminology experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Ability to deliver core customer service responsibilities via phone, in person, and in writing.
• Willingness to instruct others and handle fast-paced tasks.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient reception, face-to-face check-ins, and pre-registration.
• Verify insurance eligibility and assist with cash collections.
• Register new patients and update records; address inquiries professionally.
