Job summary

Shirley Ryan AbilityLab in the United States is seeking a Patient Services Representative to greet patients, manage front desk operations, schedule and register patients, and ensure accurate demographic and insurance information collection.

You will handle inbound and outbound calls, verify insurance details, post payments, and support the clinic's daily workflow with a focus on compassionate care and efficiency. This role reports to the Business Support Manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of customer service in a general office or healthcare setting.
• Understanding of healthcare operations and health insurance basics.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; detail-oriented and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and families; manage check-in/check-out.
• Schedule appointments and register patients; verify insurance.
• Post patient payments and prepare cash reports.
• Maintain accurate patient demographics and records.
• Answer inbound calls and handle inquiries.
